Jill Golick has more than 30 years experience as a television writer, story editor and creative producer, working on such series as Sesame Street and Sesame ParkInstant StarBeet PartyKratts CreaturesSaddle Club, Connor Undercover and Annedroids.

She has created and produced interactive projects since the 1980s when she created 11 pieces of software for the first home computers.

Her most recent interactive project is the award-winning detective series Ruby Skye P.I. The second season – The Haunted Library – includes groundbreaking interactivity, world building websites and some cool built-in marketing initiatives. The series has won multiple awards, praise from teachers and parents and continues to delight kids around the world. Ruby Skye P.I.’s third season, The Maltese Puppy, was commissioned by CBC and will be released in spring 2014.  Season 1, The Spam Scam, is currently airing on CBC television on Saturday mornings and canalso  be seen on CBC.ca/kids/RubySkyePI.

Golick teaches TV writing and Transmedia at York University.  She is a founding member of the Independent Web Series Creators of Canada and the President of the Writers Guild of Canada.

Sometimes she sleeps, but sadly, it’s usually during movies.

Janice Dawe has produced hundreds of hours of award-winning scripted and unscripted television and transmedia projects. She has built a reputation as a business-minded producer and developed valuable relationships with the creative community, broadcasters and distributors, and financiers around the world.

As Vice-President at White Pine Pictures, one of Canada’s most respected production companies, Janice supervised the financing and production of multiple award-winning documentaries and over 50 hours of drama including three seasons of the internationally distributed drama The Border, and the freshman season of the CBC drama Cracked. Janice also initiated White Pine’s move into television distribution and transmedia storytelling with the Gemini-nominated mobile documentary series, City Sonic, a co-production with Kensington Communications.

Prior to joining White Pine, Janice produced documentary and factual programs for many of the leading production companies in Canada, including Breakthrough Films and Good Earth Productions. She was also the co-owner of Stone Soup Productions, a successful boutique production company specializing in lifestyle series.

Janice is the past Co-Chair of what is now known as “DOC” (The Documentary Organization of Canada). She is an active mentor and a self-proclaimed excel geek.
