Lower down in the Twitter stream, I found this:
So this new RT means meeting potential new Twitter friends up close and personal. There's something more immediate about seeing their profile pic and the entire original tweet, than just the @ plus name.
But it also sort of downgrades the ReTweeter. You can almost miss the name entirely. I wonder if that means people will stop using RT for self-promotion.
It's hard for me to understand exactly why Twitter is implementing this particular change. I'll be interested to see how it changes the experience.
But I totally feel all puffed up that my account has been chosen as a beta tester. How special am i?
